Regardless of subject area, you are guaranteed to have a diverse group of learners. Students
bring their individual experiences, abilities, prior learning, and culture into our classrooms. This
session will explore ways in which junior high and high school teachers can incorporate their
students’ diverse cultures and communities through valuing each learners’ unique experiences
throughout their instruction. Teachers will walk away with the tools needed to have a
classroom environment that celebrates similarities, differences, and fosters student growth.
