Community building practices are an essential component of inclusive and connected
classrooms because they foster meaningful relationships and understanding among community
members. It is the foundation of relationships that makes individuals less likely to harm one
another, creates a safe classroom environment, and leads to the investment in others that
supports repairing relationships when conflict occurs. This session focuses on easy-to-
implement tips and strategies that can be used at all grade levels.
