Relevancy through Community
Limited Capacity seats available

This session will discuss how teachers can connect learning to a local community. Communities
rely on people from every level of education for businesses, charities, as well as social
functions. Every year that teachers can impart skills like responsibility, effective
communication, self-advocacy, and respect are valuable to a person’s societal well-being. For
this reason, teachers need to be aware that we teach more than content; additionally, we can
infuse local community heritage, culture, and current events into our classrooms to spark
interest and relevancy.
